Our Staff

Stephanie Riley - Director

Stephanie Riley is the Director of Homebound Services, Inc., a position she has held since July 2025. She brings over 30 years of experience in healthcare administration, research, and community outreach to the organization. Throughout her career, she has specialized in identifying and coordinating resources for at-risk individuals facing complex health and socioeconomic challenges.

Ms. Riley is deeply committed to eliminating barriers that prevent individuals from accessing care and support services, with a focus on promoting empowerment and improving overall quality of life. She has extensive expertise in local and national advocacy, grant management, and program coordination.

In her role, she has been instrumental in developing and strengthening partnerships among stakeholders, community representatives, and volunteers who are dedicated to advancing shared goals and expanding access to essential resources. Stephanie remains committed to delivering high-quality services and fostering meaningful community impact for the clients served by Homebound Services, Inc.

Judy Connely - Administrative Assistant

Judy Connely is a valued member of the Homebound Services and Med Connections team, serving as Administrative Assistant and Client Advocate throughout the county. As a longtime resident of Bulloch County, Judy brings a deep understanding of the community and a strong commitment to serving others. Following her retirement from Georgia Southern University, she has continued to dedicate her time and experience to supporting individuals throughout the region.

In her role, Judy assists clients with medication voucher assistance, pharmacies relations, and information verification while providing compassionate and professional support. She also manages the Rotary Care Telephone Assurance Program, where she delivers daily - well check calls and offers reassurance to clients in support of independent living. 

Judy’s dedication to service reflects the mission of Homebound Services and Med Connections. Outside of her professional responsibilities, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, line dancing, and participating in church activities .

Mildred Peeples - Cleaning Service Worker

We welcome our newest member to the Homebound Services, Inc. family as of July 2026.  Mildred is one of the quiet strengths of Homebound Services, Inc.  With more than thirty years of experience as a private caretaker for the elderly, she brings both skill and heart into every home she enters. Her presence has a calming, comforting effect on our clients — a warmth that doesn’t rely on many words, but is felt deeply.

Dedicated to creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment, Mildred approaches her work with unwavering focus and respect. She understands that a well‑kept home is more than a tidy space; it is a source of dignity, stability, and peace for the individuals we serve.

Though she communicates sparingly, her commitment speaks volumes. Mildred’s reliability, professionalism, and gentle spirit make her a valued member of our team and a cherished support to the clients who trust us with their care.

Soliel Mune - GSU Community Liaison (Internship)

Soliel Mune is a second-year senior at Georgia Southern University pursuing a double major in International Relations and World Languages and Cultures, with an emphasis in Japanese. She also holds a double minor in Business Management and Political Science, reflecting her strong interest in global systems, leadership, and international governance.

Soliel is passionate about cross-cultural communication and aspires to build a career that bridges international communities through diplomacy, language, and global engagement. Her academic focus is supported by a deep appreciation for Japanese language and culture, as well as a commitment to understanding international relations and public service.

During her time at Homebound, Soliel serves as a Community Liaison Intern through Georgia Southern University. Under Stephanie’s guidance, she is gaining valuable experience and insight into the field of Public Health while learning what it takes to contribute effectively within a professional office environment.

Soliel assists with data management and special educational and awareness initiatives for seniors. As one of the first points of communication for clients, she has become a valuable asset to both Homebound Services and Med Connection.

In her free time, she enjoys cooking, a passion developed from an early age while learning alongside her grandmother, as well as spending time with furbaby.

Our Board of Directors

Belinda Nelson, President

 Belinda Nelson is the Team Leader at NextStep Care and serves as President of the Board of Directors for Homebound Services and Med Connections, Inc. She provides leadership and oversight to advance the organization’s mission of improving care and resources for homebound and at‑risk individuals. Belinda is dedicated to strengthening community partnerships, promoting compassionate service, and guiding the Board in fulfilling its responsibility to ensure strong governance and long‑term organizational success. 

Rebecca Avant , Vice President

Rebecca Avant is a retired Georgia Southern University administrator and serves as Vice President of the Board of Directors for Homebound Services and Med Connections, Inc. She supports organizational leadership and decision‑making to further the mission of providing compassionate care and essential resources to homebound and at‑risk individuals. Rebecca brings valuable administrative experience, a strong commitment to community service, and provides steady guidance in support of the Board and Executive Director.

Claire Dyches, Treasurer

Claire Dyches is a retired officer from Synovus Bank and serves as Treasurer of the Board of Directors for Homebound Services and Med Connections, Inc. She oversees financial guidance and accountability for the organization, helping ensure responsible stewardship of resources. Claire brings extensive financial experience and is dedicated to supporting the mission of providing compassionate care and essential services to homebound and at-risk individuals.

Rene Childree, Secretary

 Rene Childree is a retired Family Nurse Practitioner from Bohler Family Med and serves as Secretary of the Board of Directors for Homebound Services and Med Connections, Inc. She brings extensive clinical experience and healthcare insight to support the organization’s mission of improving access to essential services for homebound and at‑risk individuals. Rene is dedicated to strengthening service quality, enhancing community health support, and fulfilling her responsibilities as Secretary of the Board. 

Sandra Polk

Sandra Polk is a Social Worker at Hospice and serves as a valuable board member for Homebound Services and Med Connections, Inc. She brings professional experience in hospice and end-of-life care, along with a strong commitment to supporting individuals and families in vulnerable situations. Sandra contributes to the organization’s mission by helping guide compassionate, client-centered services for homebound and at-risk individuals.

Deborah Scott

Deborah Scott is a retired Registered Nurse and serves as a valued board member for Homebound Services and Med Connections, Inc. She brings honorable clinical experience and a strong commitment to compassionate care, supporting the organization’s mission of providing essential services and resources to homebound and at-risk individuals.

Priscilla Clifton

Priscilla Clifton is a retired educator from Bulloch County Schools and serves as a valuable board member for Homebound Services and Med Connections, Inc. She brings kowledgeable experience in education and community engagement, along with a strong commitment to service. Priscilla supports the organization’s mission of providing compassionate care and essential resources to homebound and at-risk individuals.

Nicki McGinnis

Nicki McGinnis is a Human Resources Administrator and serves as a valuable  board member for Homebound Services and Med Connections, Inc. She brings experience in human resources and organizational support, contributing to effective board operations and decision-making. Nicki is committed to advancing the organization’s mission of providing compassionate care and essential resources to homebound and at-risk individuals.
